Welcome to The Walter E. Luckett Jr. Foundation, Inc. website (WEL Foundation).  We are proud of the work the WEL Foundation has been conducting.  Since its incorporation in 2013, we have served hundreds of young people and families throughout the Bridgeport, Greater New Haven, and Waterbury communities.  It is our philosophy we all have a responsibility to more actively participate in determining the future of America and to celebrate our young people.

The WEL Foundation’s work could not be accomplished without the financial generosity and in-kind contributions from our funders, sponsors, and business partners, who have supported us since our inception.  We owe them a huge debt of gratitude for their unwavering commitment and efforts toward the fulfillment of our mission and vision.

One of the greatest humanitarians of the 20th century, Baseball Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson, was quoted as saying, “A life is not important except for the impact it has on others’ lives.”  We hope in some small way the work of the WEL Foundation will achieve that expectation and have a lasting, positive impact on the constituents we serve.

Thank you for visiting our website and having an interest in the WEL Foundation program and services.  We hope you will come back and visit us again.
